GENERAL INFORMATION ON ABOUT INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF STRUGA

The International University of  Struga is a higher educational institution accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Macedonia. Within the university are accredited the following faculties: the Faculty of Economic Sciences, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Information Technology and the Faculty of Political Sciences.

We began as “Euro College in the academic year 2007/2008 and in 2008 we gained accreditation for two new institutes, the Institute for European studies and International Politics and the Institute for Economic Development and Ecological Management, by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Macedonia. This was one of the main reasons why we decided to change the name of the University and rebrand it into “International University of Struga.”

Encouraged by the support of many domestic and foreign institutions, keeping the clear vision and mission, we continue to step forward regardless of the difficulties.  We were supported by the British University- "Kensington College of Business," the reputed and recognized consulting group “Hy Grade”, the research center “European Business Competence License” (EBCL), the “British Business Group” (whose task is studying the specific industrial standards). A significant support came from the “American Heritage University” and the College of London – “London City College”, institutions, with whom the cooperation still continues.

Today, the IUS is the first private university in the Balkans officially accepted as a full right member of the European University association -EUA. The EUA membership is one of the biggest benefits which also provide the biggest professional and academic advancement of the IUS in the development of the higher education not only in the Republic of Macedonia, but also in the region.

IUS is actively following the Bologna Process, fully accepting the Bologna Declaration.
